Sarah began her career with Welenken CPAs in 1997 after graduating, with Cum Laude Honors, from Indiana University Southeast, with a Bachelor of Science in Business, concentration in Accounting. Sarah obtained her license as a Certified Public Accountant in Kentucky in 1998. As a manager, she specializes in audit, review and compilation of small businesses and not-for-profit organizations, and not-for-profit tax. In addition, she provides individual and business tax services. Sarah is a member of the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Sarah grew up in Georgetown, Indiana and currently lives in Louisville, Kentucky with her husband Mark and their three children. She enjoys spending her spare time with family and friends.
Ron joined Welenken CPAs in 1996 after graduating from the University of Louisville. He provides tax and management advisory services to individuals, businesses and fiduciaries. As an expert witness, Ron assists in legal disputes. Going beyond compliance, Ron wants to add value through financial management techniques to help with liquidity and asset preservation. He utilizes business development skills to promote and enhance a client’s profitability with strategic alliances. Ron firmly believes making a client stronger makes Welenken CPAs stronger.
Keith graduated from Bellarmine University in 1994. He joined Welenken CPAs in 1995.
Heather has over eight years of experience in the areas of individual and corporate tax; audits, compilations and reviews; and employee benefit plan audits. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Morehead State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Memberships to professional organizations include American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Heather is a lifelong resident of Taylorsville, Kentucky where she enjoys spending time with her husband Thad and sons Griffin and Grayson.
Sarah joined Welenken CPAs in 1999 with a Bachelors degree from the University of Kentucky. She specializes in audits of nonprofit organizations, OMB A-133 audit requirements, exempt organization tax reporting, audits of non-publicly traded businesses, compilations and reviews, forensic accounting, agreed-upon procedures, and consulting engagements.
Her professional and community activities include American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants; director, 4C (Community Coordinated Child Care); director, St. Matthews Area Business Association; and IREM Kentucky Chapter 59.
Sarah was named 2010 New Member of the Year by the St. Matthews Area Business Association.
A graduate of Western Kentucky University, Tracy joined the Welenken CPAs team in 1998.
Leslie has been with Welenken CPAs since 2004. She is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Business, the Indiana University Graduate School of Business and the Indiana University School of Law. She is a member of the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Kentucky Bar Association, and the Indiana State Bar Association. She works in the areas of individual, partnership, corporate, fiduciary and estate tax.
Leslie’s interests outside the firm include animals, the performing and visual arts, water sports, reading and spending time with friends and family. She is active in the PEO Sisterhood, for which she currently is Treasurer, and in Bluegrass Mensa, for which she currently is Vice LocSec and a member of the Board of Governors.
Mark has been with Welenken CPAs since 2004 and has experience in a broad range of areas including individual and corporate tax, and audits of small businesses. He earned his Masters in Accounting from the University of Louisville in 2010 and is a member of KSCPA and AICPA.
Dana Midkiff is a CPA with more than 10 years of experience. She has been with Welenken CPAs since 2005 and currently focuses on auditing & attestation; tax return preparation and consultation; and fraud investigations. She is also the organizer and manager of Welenken’s online social media profiles through Facebook and LinkedIn. Dana is a graduate with highest honors from the University of Louisville with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Her focus is providing clients with the extent of service they expect from a knowledgeable, trusted CPA firm. She currently participates in the Bullitt County Chamber of Commerce and the Heart Link Network.
